About the Role

As an integral member of the international commercial team, you will be responsible for high revenue growth through the acquisition, retention and expansion of our existing clients. You will drive strategic engagement with executives in key accounts, while also crafting and executing strategies to increase and diversify our account portfolio.

You will work closely with local Managing Director and Delivery Directors to maintain our reputation for excellent delivery whilst working with a global engagement and strategy team to identify and capitalise on opportunities for growth.


What you’ll do

Reporting into the Managing Director, you will:

  • Develop and maintain trusted advisor relationships with all clients and executive sponsors
  • Serve as the voice of the customer to internal colleagues, highlighting opportunities for service and product enhancements
  • Identify new workstreams and stakeholders within our client’s business environment
  • Own the commercial and legal aspect of Tier 1 client engagements
  • Remain knowledgeable about industry trends and the latest news affecting your market
  • Coordinate pitch responses to RFPs and briefs
  • Work with the Marketing team to plan and execute an account-based marketing strategy
  • Research and author account development plans with goals and action steps for each account
  • Represent Monstarlab at industry events and be a recognised thought leadership voice in the market
  • Assist leadership team in continuing to build a successful team and culture which includes contributing to key successful hires and mentoring talent
  • Exhibit respectful and caring behaviors and values in every interaction with Monstarlab talent

You are passionate about the business transformation which can be achieved through technology and you’ll demonstrate an interest in the trends and market forces affecting organizations in the DACH-region with focus on the German market. 

You have proven experience of being a trusted advisor and you are comfortable interacting with c-level executives in a professional, concise and culturally sensitive manner. You can call on relevant expertise of winning and growing client accounts year on year.

You will be comfortable reporting into a global commercial structure and taking responsibility for a revenue target. You also consider yourself to be a team player, demonstrating the emotional intelligence to lead indirect reports into delivering the best work of their careers.


  • 5+ years’ experience with bespoke digital products in Business Development/Senior Account Director/similar role 
  • Strong strategic thinker, with the drive to be a trusted partner and adviser to clients across various aspects of the business, from product strategy to technology solutions
  • Ability to quickly grasp and concisely explain technology and business concepts
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders, including senior-level executives
  • Track record in delivering high growth numbers in professional services consulting and /or technology-led agency business
  • Experience with mobile solutions and/or Sitecore
  • Ability to think strategically about and execute commercial plans; you’re detail-oriented and have the ability to set priorities and be flexible in a changing environment
  • Willingness to 'roll up your sleeves' and assist wherever needed
  • Willingness to travel (whenever it will be safe again) 
  • Ideally, you’ll have an existing network in Germany, maybe Switzerland 
  • Place of work should be in or close to one of the German metropolises 
  • Fluent German & English
